Application of Radar Level Meter in Industrial Production

Release time:2020.10.10

Radar level gauges mainly measure the level of solids and liquids in the industrial production process. There are many types, including block materials, powder materials, granular materials, and acid liquids and alkaline liquids. The dielectric constant, bulk density, temperature, pressure, etc. of these substances are different. In the past, contact measurement was mainly used, such as wave guide cables, tuning forks, resistance spin, weights, floats, and capacitors. In use, various problems occur due to changes in the physical state and chemical composition of the detected medium, such as frequent false material levels, cable breaks, material blockages, and mutations, and the amount of maintenance and maintenance costs are large.

With the development of sensors and software technology, industrial measurement and control began to gradually use radar ranging technology. It has strong anti-interference ability and accurate measurement. The microwave technology of radar is used in military industry early. With the continuous development of microwave technology, radar technology has been widely used in communications and industrial measurement and control.

Industrial radar uses microwave absorption and reflection principles to define the use of radar according to the dielectric constant of the measured medium, and is divided into microwave radar instruments in different microwave frequency bands, of which 300 MHz to 1. 5 GHz guided wave  radar level gauge (contact), 6 GHz non-contact radar level meter and 26 GHz small-angle high-frequency non-contact radar level meter.

We use it to determine which form of radar instrument measurement is effective, accurate and maintenance-free according to the physical state of the measured medium (such as steam, dust, adsorption, temperature, pressure, acidity and alkalinity).
